About My Services

I offer a free 15 minute video or telephone call for us to see if we would be a good match. You can use this time to ask any questions or voice any worries you may have about coming to counselling.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held on a weekly or fortnightly basis, unless otherwise agreed. The fee is £60 per session.

I am based in Portreath, Cornwall, and offer both in-person and online therapy, allowing me to work with clients locally, across the UK, and worldwide. I am fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS certificate, and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Being just minutes from the beach and Cornwall’s beautiful coastal paths, I also offer Walk and Talk Therapy. Many people find that being outdoors in nature makes it easier to open up, providing a gentle alternative to the traditional therapy room while benefiting from the calming effects of the natural environment.

My therapy dogs, Rose and Bertie, are also available to join sessions if you would like their calming and reassuring presence. Many clients find that having a gentle companion nearby helps them feel more relaxed and at ease.

My Approach

I believe that therapy is never a “one-size-fits-all” experience. Every person is unique, and so is the support they need. Drawing on my professional training, clinical experience, and personal insight, I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs.

At the heart of our work together is a genuine, honest, and trusting therapeutic relationship. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing, helping you gain greater self-awareness, build resilience, and feel empowered to make choices that are right for you.

I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves and the ways in which their mind and body work together. As part of our sessions, I offer psychoeducation to help you make sense of why your brain responds in certain ways during times of stress, and why you may experience particular physical sensations or emotional reactions.

Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations, and how they influence one another. We’ll also consider the impact of your life experiences, environment, triggers, and the coping strategies you have developed over time. By understanding these connections, we can begin to make sense of your unique experiences with greater compassion and curiosity.

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally numb. You may have noticed that the ways you’ve always coped no longer feel helpful or are preventing you from moving forward. Together, we will gently explore where these patterns have come from, recognising that they often developed for good reasons at difficult times in your life.

As your understanding grows, we can begin to develop healthier ways of coping, strengthen your emotional resilience, and work towards a greater sense of balance, self-compassion, and inner peace.
